I’m a co-anchor of the #1 morning news team in Kansas. Early mornings come easy to me and I love getting a jump start on the day and sharing the day’s news with our viewers. Since joining the morning team in 2013 I’ve covered the aftermath of tornado season as well as a deadly plane crash into the Flight Safety. I also started a series called Grateful Heart, where I share the inspirational stories of people living with and overcoming congenital heart defects.
I spent the first part of my time here in Kansas in 2011 as the anchor of Fox Kansas News at Nine. A couple of my most memorable stories include being live on the scene as a police chase turned into a hostage situation and also a story about a woman using rabbits as therapy for a young man living with encephalopathy. Our team would win Evening News Broadcast of the Year from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters in 2012 and 2013.
I came to Kansas after spending a couple years anchoring the 5, 6 and 10PM news in Sioux Falls, SD. I covered the 2010 senate race and snagged an exclusive and spontaneous live interview with presidential candidate Mitt Romney. I also traveled to Washington, D.C. to cover newly-elected Congresswoman Kristi Noem’s first legislative session.
Before South Dakota I spent several years as the evening anchor for 9 and 10 News in Cadillac, Michigan. There I covered destructive wild fires, the National Cherry Festival and learned how to drive in any extreme weather condition.
In an effort to increase my social media presence and better engage with our viewers, I started my own YouTube channel. Viewers can also engage with me during daily Facebook Live sessions, Instgram and Twitter.
I enjoy emceeing various events around town that support our Wichita community. I’m also part of the leadership of New Life Wichita, a church that my husband and I helped start in 2016. My husband is the director of a local college and we enjoy raising our two sons just north of Wichita.
